Corto Maltese is a small island nation. It was the site of the Corto Maltese Revolution, an event which Vicki Vale photographed the aftermath of. Her photos were selected for an article in TIME magazine.[1]
Behind the scenes
- In DC Comics, Corto Maltese is a small island off the coast of South America that made its first appearance in Batman: The Dark Knight #3 - Hunt the Dark Knight, in 1986. It is one of several references to the mini series throughout the film.
- Corto Maltese made its small screen debut in Season 3 of Arrow and its DC Films universe debut with the The Suicide Squad movie.
