Wang interviewed for Shadows of the Bat: The Cinematic Saga of the Dark Knight in 2005.
Steve Wang is the artist that sculpted the 'hero' Batsuit worn by Michael Keaton in Batman Returns, based on illustrations by Bob Ringwood. Wang also sculpted several unused variations of a new cowl for the costume, which ended up being done by Jose Fernandez at the last minute. He returned to sculpt the seats of the 2nd Batmobile in Batman Forever.[1]
Wang also sculpted the Horizon model kit of the Returns Batsuit.
It is unknown why Wang is featured for interview in Shadows of the Bat, while the sculptor of the final cowl used in the film, Jose Fernandez, is not. The 2005 documentary also seems to indicate the Wang sculpted the final cowl for unknown reasons.
